Summary:

Sleeping Beauty Castle Concert -- Sunday, September 11 -- the second night of Grand Opening festivities features a dazzling live concert on the forecourt stage of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Hong Kong Disneyland Park. Asian super-star Jacky Cheung headlines the celebrity line-up singing Disney classic songs. Joining Jacky on stage are Paige O'Hara, Lea Salonga, Eason Chan, Coco Lee, Emil Chau, Joey Yung, Brad Kane, Andy Hui and Rachael Cheung. Dragons, lanterns, drummers and red silk flags complete the Asian stage setting for this enchanting outdoor concert.

Earlier in the evening, invited guests will enjoy an exclusive dinner party held inside Adventureland where African drummers, a reggae band and fire and knife dancers entertain the crowd.

Disney in the Stars -- As the Castle Concert comes to a close, the nighttime skies over Hong Kong Disneyland come alive as fire bursts shoot skyward for the start of "Disney in the Stars" fireworks show. This fireworks spectacular features cherished Disney music and a sky filled with amazing formations celebrating Disney's most famous animated films.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, which includes a theme park, two hotels and a recreation area, was more than five years in the making is set to open Sept. 12, 2005. Hong Kong Disneyland is a joint venture of The Walt Disney Company and the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government). As Disney's first vacation resort in the region, Hong Kong Disneyland will be the flagship of the entire Disney brand in China and a strong platform for company growth in new markets. The Vacation Kingdom will employ 5,000 cast members. The Hong Kong SAR Government estimates the project will generate a present economic value of HK$148 billion (US$19 billion) in benefits to Hong Kong over a 40-year period.
